SAN MARCOS — After suffering four straight losses, Texas State football defeated Arkansas State 16-13 Saturday.

Although the Bobcats (4-7 overall, 2-5 Sun Belt) will not be in bowl contention, the victory ties them for the highest win total in head coach Jake Spavital’s tenure (four).
