JPII wins state championship

WEST — Everything came together for John Paul II this Saturday at West High School during the TAPPS Class 4A state championship match.

The Lady Guardians (28-6) hoisted the hardware following a hard-fought 3-2 victory against Arlington Pantego Christian. Head coach Gabriella Otero’s team won by respective scores of 19-25, 25-18, 25-22, 20-25 and 15-10.
