Federal law says ministers can’t make partisan political pronouncements from the pulpit, but some church leaders in Texas and around the nation don’t seem to care.

A ProPublica/Texas Tribune article described church leaders in Texas and other states skirting — or brazenly breaking — a 64-year-old law that prohibits houses of worship and other tax-exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations from endorsing candidates.
