It is no secret that COVID-19 has disrupted life as we know it. Since March 2020, many people find themselves second guessing decisions that were once made without hesitation. That includes scheduling a routine checkup or exam. Now is the time, ladies, to push excuses and reasoning to the back burner and get that mammogram scheduled. Breast cancer has not stopped because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In fact, every 74 seconds, a woman in the world dies from breast cancer.  It is the leading cause of cancer death among women. The American Cancer Society estimates 276,480 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed this year. These alarming statistics come with a plea for women to understand the importance of scheduling an annual mammogram.
