Chase Daniel Laird

Comal County’s law enforcement and justice departments last week won a conviction of one child sex offender and saw another sentenced — with both receiving lengthy prison terms.

After a three-day trial, a jury in Judge Dib Waldrip’s 433rd District Court found Chase Daniel Laird, 30, of San Marcos, guilty of sexual child trafficking, sexual assault of a child and soliciting sexual performance by a child, all occurring on the same day in 2016.
