United Way gets Monday Wurstfest gate money

Published November 1, 2009

Those interested in supporting a good cause while having a good time should plan on making a Wurstfest appearance Monday, Nov 2.

All gate proceeds that day are donated to United Way of Comal County. United Way supports 26 local organizations in Comal County such as the Comal County Senior Citizen’s Foundation, Communities in Schools and the CRRC in Canyon Lake.

Executive Director Terry Robinson estimated last year’s gate donations grossed around $10,000.

“Wurstfest has historically dedicated Monday night to United Way,” Robinson said. “If you’re going to Wurstfest, come Monday night.”

A coupon on the Wurstfest site also provides free admission for one with the purchase of a ticket. Kids 12 and younger are admitted free. The coupon is valid Nov. 1 through Nov. 4.

For more information, call United Way at (830) 620-7760.
