Janice Pauline Perron, born Oct. 20, 1934, to Elsie and Lee Thomas in Dustin, Okla., passed quietly in her sleep into the Lord’s hands on May 18, 2009.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Joseph Perron; daughter Givonna Perron; son and daughter-in-law Lee and Sandra Perron; granddaughter Ashlee Perron; and sister Winona Wilmoth.
Janice served her church, family and country as a faithful Christian, gifted homemaker and military wife. After graduating high school from Henryetta, Okla., she married and traveled the world while supporting her family’s needs from Hawaii to New Foundland and Japan, including multiple locations across the United States. Jan, who was the spiritual center of the family, gave unselfishly to her church and community as a volunteer, librarian and State of Ohio representative for the mentally disabled. Most importantly she followed the path of Jesus her Savior as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many who met her along life’s journey.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2009, at the Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St. in New Braunfels, Texas. Interment will be at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Due to floral regulations at Ft. Sam, the family has requested donations be made to Hope Hospice, 611 N. Walnut Ave. New Braunfels, TX 78130.
