Mr. and Mrs. Derek Brently Clark
Derek Clark and Sheena Swift Stewart were united in marriage at 5 p.m. on July 18, 2009. Sheena is the daughter of C.J. and Winston Morrow of Seguin. She graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2003. Derek is the son of Brent and Debbie Clark of New Braunfels. A 2003 graduate of New Braunfels HIgh School, he works as a firefighter/paramedic for the Seguin Fire Dept.
The ceremony was held at The Landmark with Pastor Marcus Avalos officiating. The bride chose an ivory taffetta gown with pink pearls and gemstones on each gathering. She carried a bouquet of pink and ivory roses with maroon hydrangea. Maid of honor was Janese Stewart of Stockdale, Texas, and bridal attendants, Whitney Ramsey, Rachel Motz, Brianna Alves, Jessica Clark, Molly Simeckiand Callie Jo Hallmark, wore maroon dresses which complimented their bouquets of pink and ivory roses. Serving as best man was Joshua Prewitt, of New Braunfels. Groomsmen were Dustin Wray, Peter Lingamfelter, Thomas Williams, Denver Bierstedt, Benjamin Aaron and John Morrow. The reception took place at The Landmark. The bride’s cake was a 4 tier pink glitter icing with ivory dots decorated with candle votives and rose petals. The groom’s cake, a yellow fire helmet, featured the wedding date on the front.
Following a honeymoon of an alaskan cruise, the couple will reside in Seguin.
