Tuesday ushered in some wet weather and cooler temperatures, but forecasters said it should clear up in time for the Comal County Fair Parade on Friday.
Most of New Braunfels received around half an inch of rain Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service, with some parts of Comal County soaking in just less than an inch.
According to the weather service, Garden Ridge received the most rain Tuesday, recording .82 inches, followed by Canyon Lake at .67 inches and Spring Branch at .62 inches.
Temperatures are expected to cool off for the next couple days, with highs Wednesday and Thursday in the 70s and 80s.
“It will be a little bit on the cool side,” said weather service forecaster Pat McDonald.
He said there also is a 20 to 40 percent chance of rain Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday is predicted to be partly sunny, with highs in the mid-to-upper 80s.
“Generally, it should be a real pleasant day as people head out to the parade and the Comal County Fair,” McDonald said.
