The New Braunfels Senior Center and The Scooter Store is sponsoring a free Thanksgiving Dinner for seniors today.
The dinner begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Senior Center, 655 Landa Street, for those 50 and older. No reservation is needed.
This event’s purpose is to give seniors a chance to come together and celebrate Thanksgiving. For some, this the only opportunity to gather with others and eat a big turkey meal.
This event is an annual tradition, possible through donations and volunteer support from The Scooter Store, said Senior Center Vice President of Operations Mary Durham.
