LeAnn Marie Seale and Douglas Ray Miller II, both of New Braunfels were united in a traditional marriage ceremony Saturday, July 4, 2009, 5 p.m. at The First Protestant Church in New Braunfels. Pastor Ray Still of the Oakwood Baptist Church commenced the officiate ceremony. The dinner and dance reception was held at the New Braunfels Civic Convention Center. Blessings over the meal were by Rev. Daryl Higgins of the First Protestant Church. The bride and groom chose to base their wedding on the scripture from Song of Solomon 3:4, “For I have found the one whom my soul loves.” The bride was given in marriage by her parents Willie and Laura Seale of Midland, Texas. She was escorted by her father Willie Seale.

LeAnn wore an exclusive made gown by Isabella Chessari. The silhouette was a modified a-line with a ruche, sweetheart chiffon bust line accented with an applique in the center and detachable chiffon halter straps. The bodice of the gown was adorned with silver beaded lace appliques that were repeated throughout the middle. The hem of the gown was trimmed with scalloped appliques and enhanced with ruche, pleated chiffon. A bouquet of vibrant pink and orange roses with pink and white stargazer lilies mixed with pink and orange gerbera daisies was carried by the bride.

LeAnn is the maternal granddaughter of Alex and Wanda McCormick of Rush Center, Kansas, and the late Gerald Downs. She is the paternal granddaughter of Ron and Kay Lemons of Midland, Texas, and the late Emmett Lamon. The groom is the son of Doug and Anne Louise Miller of New Braunfels. Douglas is the maternal grandson of Mr. Charles Mund of New Braunfels, Texas, and the late Wallie Gerlich Mund. He is the paternal grandson of the late Fred and Priscilla Miller.

Amanda Miller, sister of the groom, served as a bridesmaid. The bride was also attended by bridesmaids Victoria Vielma, Tana Bennie, Ashlea Webel, college friends and Landrie Johansen, high school friend.

Flower girl was Emma Graham, great cousin of the groom. Junior bridesmaids were Mercedes Vondracek and Whitney LaSha Shaw, cousins of the bride. The house party consisted of Kari Graham, Kristen Gilstrap, Lindsey Homeyer and Haley Ray. Casey Fischbeck, lifetime friend of the groom, served as the best man. The groom was also attended by Sean Lafferty and Kale Jones, college friends, and Brett Boyd, Timothy Hildebrand, and Russell Ritchie, high school friends. Ring bearers were Braxton Caughron, nephew of the bride, and Conner Gilstrap, a special little friend of both the bride and groom. The candle lighters were Ryan Burton and Raven Shaw, cousins of the bride. Brandon Mund and Kris Mund, cousins of the groom, were ushers. Also Lee Hartsell and Chance Hundley, college friends, served as ushers. Ephesians 3:14-19 was read by high school friend, Ryan Folger. Solo and bass guitarist Texas Hill Country artist Drew Kennedy performed "The Wedding Prayer" and "I Will Be Here.” Dr. Joey Martin performed the processional and recessional music on the pipe organ. Gary Glenn and the 20X Band provided live music for the reception and dance. The father of the groom, Doug Miller, sang and dedicated the song, "I Can't Help Falling in Love with You" by Elvis Presley, to the bride and groom at the reception.

The bride is a 2004 Greenwood High graduate, 2006 Angelo State University graduate, and a 2009 Texas State University graduate. As fireworks and rose petals were scattering into the sky at midnight, the bride and groom rode off in a white, horse-drawn carriage to the Gruene Apple Bed and Breakfast. Following their honeymoon trip to the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia in the West Indies, the couple will reside in New Braunfels.

We would like to thank our friends and family, who traveled from near and far, for sharing in our joy and happiness on this day; thanks to each of you for being such an integral part of the celebration in our new life together.
