Prepare to bundle up for Thanksgiving as a cold front heads this way.
After a full day of rain Thursday, the weather will warm up and the sky will clear for the weekend, but that will change Monday. Monday’s possible rain will be the precursor to a cold front settling into the area on Tuesday, said forecasters with the National Weather Service in New Braunfels.
A cold front is expected to blow in Tuesday and should be significantly stronger than the cold front earlier this week.
Today, Sunday and Monday, the highs should be in the lower to mid-70s with sunny to mostly sunny skies.
“On Tuesday and Wednesday, lows will be in the 40s, and by Thanksgiving lows will be in the 30s,” said forecaster Clay Anderson. He said New Braunfels received about two inches of rain Thursday.
