There was no change Monday in the race for District 73 State Representative after the first leg of the re-count took place in Bandera County.
Challenger Doug Miller maintained his 29-vote lead over incumbent Nathan Macias.
Macias sought a recount after his opponent managed only a 0.1 percent majority in the Republican primary.
Bandera was the first of four counties which will be going back over the results from the March 4 primary election.
Comal and Kendall counties will be tallying votes today, followed by Gillespie County on Wednesday.
Macias won Bandera county by 28 votes in the primary, 1,897 to Miller’s 1,869.
Over the four-county district, Miller continues to lead Macias, garnering 14,687 votes to hold a slight lead over the incumbent’s 14,658.
