Lynne Krackau Laubach went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 in Spring Branch after a long battle with cancer. She was born in San Marcos, on Aug. 25, 1952. She graduated from San Marcos High School and attended Southwest Texas State University where she met her husband of 36 years, Will Laubach.The couple moved to the Laubach Family Ranch in Spring Branch where they resided all their married life. The couple was blessed by two wonderful daughters, Laurie Lynne Laubach and Stacey Lynne Laubach.
Lynne enjoyed traveling, cooking, and her extensive volunteer work on various committees at her church, St. Paul Lutheran in Bulverde; however her true love was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband and daughters; siblings Janice Kuhen, Agnes Dreibrodt and husband Freddie, Mary Jane Smith and husband Marshall, and Dennis Krackau; mother in law Anita Laubach; sister in laws Arlene Eickmann and husband William, Caroline Craze and husband Bob, brother-in-law Kenneth Strupp, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Alice Krackau, father-in-law Edgar Laubach, brother-in-law Wayne Kuhen, sister-in- law Mary Jane Strupp, and niece Melissa Strupp.
A visitation will be held at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 from noon until 8 p.m. with the family present to greet guest from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday Nov. 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bulverde, Texas, with burial to follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, St. Paul Lutheran Church of Bulverde or Hope Hospice.
