Mr. and Mrs. Rogelio Ybarra
GUERRERO-YBARRA
Yolanda Guerrero of New Braunfels and Rogelio Ybarra of Seadrift, Texas, were united in holy matrimony on August 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
The bride is the daughter of Linda Guerrero and the late Gilberto A. Guerrero, Sr. of New Braunfels. The groom is the son of the late Juanita Ybarra and the late Senobio Ybarra of Seadrift.
The ceremony was officiated by Father Gene Ronan. The bride was escorted by her grandchildren, Stephanie and J.C. Robledo. The readers for the ceremony were Riata and Micaela Robledo, granddaughters of the bride. The bride’s dress was a montage, silky, crepe dress. She carried a bouquet with pink pastel roses and sage ribbon along with a bible decorated with fresh roses and sage ribbon. Yvonne Robledo, daughter of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leann Morin, Irma Ybarra, Lucy Ayala, Janie Medrano, Isabel Vasquez, Rosalinda Estrada, Leticia Gonzales, Blanca Guerreo, and Rosemary Montanez. They wore sage green dresses and carried bouquets decorated of pink roses with a sage ribbon.
Mike Ybarra, son of the groom, served as best man and the groomsmen were Carlos Robledo, Rudy Ybarra, Jesse Ayala, Richard Medrano, Raul Vasquez, Eddie Gonzales and Alfred Montanez. Ushers were Paul Estrada and Marques Pettes. Serving as the ring bearer was Izais Ybarra, grandson of the groom. Also as attending guests were Jeff Ybarra, son of the groom and Zavier Ybarra, grandson of the groom.
Following the ceremony a reception with a dinner was held at the Elks Lodge in New Braunfels. Catering was provided by Cancun Mexican Restaurant. The bride’s cake was a six layered cake decorated with roses, raspberry filling and white icing. The groom’s cake was a one layer german chocolate cake decorated with a little fisherman in a pond.Assisting in serving was Mrs. Marie Offerman, Lynne and Mike Byrd, Mrs. Delithia Guenel, Mrs. Gloria Gunter, Mrs. Peg Pool, Mrs. Madelyn Harris, Mrs. Lucille Spain, Blanca Guerrero, Sylvia Lagunas and Maria Luna.
The couple made a wedding trip to Las Vegas and will be residing in New Braunfels.
