Wurst Bowl 2021

New Braunfels senior James Dawn will try and help the Unicorns win their seventh straight Wurst Bowl against Canyon this Friday at Unicorn Stadium. The Unicorns hold an all-time series lead of 31-7 over the Cougars.

When defensive ends go head-to-head with New Braunfels senior offensive tackle James Dawn, they usually don’t remain upright for very long.

Dawn, a three-year starter for the Unicorns, has shown a knack for knockdowns and often serves up more pancakes than a neighborhood diner. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound left tackle has become the cornerstone of New Braunfels’ offensive line and is a big reason why the Unicorns come into this year’s Wurst Bowl with a 2-0 record.
