A resolution on New Braunfels ISD’s field turf issue will not come to fruition this calendar year.

A trial date is slated for sometime in spring 2015 according to Valerie Cantu, an attorney who represents NBISD in their lawsuit against FieldTurf USA inc., due to Texas’ nine-month discovery period in law. The discovery period is the pre-trial phase in a lawsuit in which each party, through the law of civil procedure, can obtain evidence from the opposing party by means of discovery devices including requests for answers to interrogatories, requests for production of documents and requests for admissions and depositions.
