With Canyon holding a modest 10-7 lead in the opening set of Tuesday night’s District 26-5A match against Kerrville Tivy, junior Kyla Malone went sprawling across the back row for a dig attempt that sent her careening into the legs of a nearby iPad stand being used to film the contest.

It was the type of extra-effort play the Cougarettes have become known for during their unbeaten start to league play. And while the iPad stand bounced back without much trouble, the same can’t be said for the visiting Lady Antlers.
