Canyon wide receiver Callon Farr is ready to test his skills against some of the best football players in the Southwest United States.
Farr, who will be a senior during the upcoming 2019-20 school year, earned a spot in the Blue-Grey All-American Combine super regionals after qualifying in a regional event in Houston on May 11. Farr is set to compete at the home of the Dallas Cowboys — AT&T Stadium in Arlington — on June 29 and 30.
If Farr performs well enough at the super regional event, he may earn a shot to compete at one of four All-American Bowl games that will be played in 2020.
The wide receiver was selected for the combine based on his stellar 2017 and 2018 seasons with the Cougars. As a sophomore, Farr led Canyon with 56 receptions for 512 yards. Farr then enjoyed a breakout junior campaign that saw him haul in 34 catches for 732 yards and seven touchdowns in just eight contests under first-year head coach Joe Lepsis.
The wideout also excelled as a kick returner and recorded a TD on special teams as well.
Farr was named to the District 26-6A second team last season and will no doubt enter his senior year as a focal point of the Cougars’ offense.
