Dale Edward Wright passed away on February 20, 2017 at the age of 96. He was born on July 20, 1920 to parents Alfonso Morle Wright and Mable Rose (Bomberger) Wright in Saint Paul, Texas. He served in U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant in WWII from August 26, 1942 to September 21, 1945. Dale worked for Conoco Oil Company for 46 years living in Rincon, George West, and Carrizo Springs. He married Betty Jo Stanberry on February 22, 1948, and they were married 66 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an active member of the Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Jo Wright; son, Roger Dale Wright; grandsons, Mathew Kristofer Wright and Roger Scott Wright; sisters, Edna Thompson and Florence Hellums.
He is survived by his daughter, Jo Gayle Wright; son, Mark Wright and wife Bonnie; daughter-in-law, Kathy Wright; sister-in-law, Janet Miller; sister-in-law, Sue Prosen and husband Ray; brother-in-law, Glenn Stanberrry; grandchildren, Ryan Wright and wife Jacinta, Allison Hart and husband Taylor, Jacob Wright and wife Christina, Emma Wright; great-granddaughter, Riley Hart; and longtime family friend, Gloria Damerau.

A public visitation will be take place at Zoeller Funeral Home on Friday, February 24, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Saturday, February 25, at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
