New Braunfels Independent School District trustees will meet in regular session on Monday and hold a special session Tuesday. Both meetings will begin at 7 p.m. in the NBISD Education Center Board Room, 430 W. Mill Street in New Braunfels.
On Monday, trustees will discuss and consider approving procurement methods for contracts for projects associated with the district’s $118.3 million bond that was approved by voters last fall – an eight-classroom addition at Veramendi Elementary School; security upgrades at all district campuses, and roofing repairs for Oak Run Middle School.
Also Monday, after recognizing outstanding students and staffers, trustees will discuss and consider approving:
• Contracts for administrators and professional support staffers.
• An order calling for a May 4 election for two at-large trustees positions and District 1 trustees position, and joint elections agreements with the city of New Braunfels and Comal County Elections Office.
• Purchases of five new school buses for the 2019-20 school year.
• Various 2018-19 general fund budget amendments.
Trustees will meet Tuesday to discuss and possibly take action on a Level III grievance. For more, visit the district website at www.nbisd.org.
