Posted: Tuesday, November 9, 2010 10:20 pm

NEW BRAUNFELS - Sufferers of cedar fever probably wouldn't be surprised to learn that New Braunfels is home to the largest mountain cedar tree in the whole dang country. But the 41-foot-tall pollen factory isn't the only champion tree in Comal County, according to the just-released, latest version of the Texas Big Tree Registry.

The Big Tree Registry is published quarterly by the Texas Forest Service. The latest edition, released Oct. 29, lists 247 trees, which are the biggest of their kind in Texas.
