 The COVID-19 crisis not only failed to sway state officials into freezing 2020 property taxes at 2019 levels, it has also delayed the assessment appeals process, delaying the release of Comal County certified property values from Friday until Tuesday.

As predicted in April, taxable property values throughout the county increased by double digits, which is bad news to residential and commercial taxpayers already hit hard by the pandemic.
