It’s been a roller coaster ride for the New Braunfels tourism industry as COVID-19 took hold, and businesses that offer guest accommodations are taking steps to adapt to a new reality.

Kristy Olson, operations director of Big Chief Vacation Properties, a vacation home rental agency in New Braunfels, said customers began to cancel their plans when the coronavirus outbreak first started to take hold and stay-at-home orders were implemented in March.
