An old friend of mine whom I hadn’t seen for quite some time made a comment about how the current pandemic has, in his words, “Taken all the fun and pleasure out of everything.” Then he added, “It’s almost not worth living.”

Troubled by his pessimism, I thought about how despite dealing with an invisible killer that seemingly strikes at will, we must try and savor all the goodness and everyday pleasures we tend to overlook.
