For almost 10 years, the Gruene United Methodist Church has been loving and serving the New Braunfels community — while showing them what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

“We were planted by the First United Methodist Church New Braunfels in Sept. 2006, so we’ve almost been here 10 years,” senior pastor Karen Horan said. “We are very much outward focused, and we do a lot of community outreach. We love to meet people where they are. Our mission statement is, ‘Come and be you.’”

Love seeing the churches like GUM involved in the community like this.
Thanks! I really love the church under the overpass on IH 35. BRILLIANT
idea. I have heard that folks that need it can get haircuts, some new clothes,
etc. at the church service under the bridge. That is great!
