Truck drivers gathered in remembrance of Tristen Cother at Oakwood Church on Friday. Cother, 22, was a tow truck operator with his family's business, The Wrecker Man. An 18-wheeler struck Cother, parked on the shoulder of Interstate 35 in Kyle, killing him on impact on Aug. 20, 2020. Many trucks waved thin yellow line flags — representing tow truck drivers, security officers and loss prevention personnel. Truckers displayed the flag in support of the move over law, which requires motorists to move over and change lanes to give safe clearance for emergency and service personnel on the side of the road.
