Police say a Saturday afternoon motorcycle accident claimed the life of a Canyon Lake man after he struck a utility pole.

Police and fire department responders were dispatched to the intersection of Denise Drive and Pams Path and found that the driver had lost control of a 2015 Harley-Davidson and struck a utility pole.

The victim, a 24-year old man from Canyon Lake, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have not identified the victim because next of kin has not been notified.

Several homes had a brief electrical outage near the crash site because of the collision, and NBU crews were called to the scene to restore power.

The incident remains under investigation.
